My Story

I am a mom of 3, a fitness enthusiast, a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, business owner, and an entrepreneur.

My story is simple.  Even early on, I had an interest in nutrition and fitness. I was always seeking information on healthful ways to slim down, improve my skin or heal from illnesses using natural methods.

The thing is, knowledge is only one piece of the puzzle.  I developed a poor body image early in life, and as a result, developed a distorted relationship with food which ultimately progressed into full blown food addiction.  Couple an addiction with the health and hormone challenges that surfaced after my second baby, and I was a mess!

But my faith in the fact that FOOD IS MEDICINE compelled me to continue pursuing nutrition and finding strategies to find "food freedom".

My food philosophy is one of customization.

I believe in the science of the NUTRITARIAN and WHOLE FOOD, PLANT BASED lifestyles, but also know that not everyone is ready to overhaul their diet, nor will everyone respond the same to the same meal plan.   The majority of my clients strive for, and succeed with a predominantly clean, plant-based diet, adding in 5-10% clean animal products.

When it comes to weight loss, improved health, or healing, I don't believe in "all or nothing." I believe in all or something as long as you just take the first step.

MAYBE YOU CAN RELATE...

Growing up in an Italian-American family, it sometimes seemed like every thing we did revolved around the kitchen. I believe this started my disordered relationship with food.  This relationship progressed over time, little by little, translating into a 60 pound weight gain and an increasingly poor self-image.

Minor sports injuries and severe debilitating back pain were just the start of the long list of things that were ailing me.  I have battled autoimmune conditions, food addiction, GI issues, acne, excess weight, depression, migraine headaches, food sensitivities and more.  I get where you are.

Healing started for me with a slow transition to clean food, a targeted supplementation regimen, the right mindset, exercise, and occasional trips to the ocean for dose of salt water.

Most people say "I know what I should be doing..." but that is not typically true.  What is based in science, what will work for you, and what you may think you should be doing may not be the same.

I am passionate about helping people find the underlying causes of their symptoms, rebalance their hormones and gut' and set up a customized protocol so they can achieve weight loss, elimination of symptoms, and optimized health.

The goal, though, is not just to look good in a pair of jeans. There is a bigger picture here; what's the point of being fit if you still end up with a common disease like cancer, diabetes, autoimmune conditions, or heart disease?

The functional labs I use will help uncover healing opportunities.  Together, we can restore your health and help you achieve any of your health goals!

"The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine, or the slowest form of poison." - Ann Wigmore

"No matter who you are - one thing will always be true - it is infinitely harder doing this alone.  We are better together.  The next move is yours."

It just starts with a decision to choose you...
